What is Heritage Junior High?


Heritage Junior High (HJH) is a Sunday morning ministry designed specifically for students in 6th–8th grade. Each week, students begin in the 10:00 AM worship service, joining the rest of the church family for worship. After announcements, junior high students are dismissed to the Student Center, where they will enjoy a fun game, engaging biblical teaching, and gender-specific small groups led by caring adult leaders.

Our desire is to help students build a faith that is genuinely their own by creating an environment where they are known, loved, and challenged to grow in Christ. Throughout the year, we'll explore foundational topics such as the gospel, the importance of biblical community, how to read and study the Bible, prayer, identity in Christ, and what it looks like to faithfully follow Jesus in everyday life. Our small groups provide a safe place for students to ask questions, build lasting friendships, and apply God's Word to their lives.

YOUTH Worship Night
We’re excited to invite all of our students to a special Youth Prayer & Worship Night on September 20 at 5 PM at Heritage Church! This evening will be a chance for our students to step away from the busyness of life, worship Jesus together, and intentionally seek Him through prayer. A big part of our night will be praying for and with one another. We want to create space for students to share what is going on in their lives, encourage one another, and lift each other up before the Lord. We believe there is something powerful about students learning not only how to pray, but also how to pray for their friends and carry one another’s burdens. Through worship, Scripture, and prayer, our hope is that students will grow closer to Jesus and to one another. This is an opportunity to remind our students that they don’t have to walk through life alone. We are a community that follows Jesus together, celebrates together, and brings our needs and struggles before Him together. And, of course, we’ll finish the night with Wings & Worship! After our time together, students will get to hang out, eat some wings, and enjoy time together as a youth community. Grab a friend and join us September 20 at 5 PM for a night of prayer, worship, community, and wings. We can’t wait to see you there!

Welcome to Heritage Youth - High School
What is Heritage Youth - High School? Heritage Youth - High School is a place where high school students can build authentic friendships, ask honest questions, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We meet every Sunday from 5:00-8:00 PM, beginning in the Café with 30 minutes of hanging out before moving into the Student Center for a fun game, biblical teaching, and gender-specific small groups led by caring adult leaders. Our desire is to create a community where students feel known, valued, and challenged to live out their faith. Throughout the year, we study God's Word together, tackle real-life questions, and encourage one another to follow Christ in every area of life. On a typical Sunday night, after small groups wrap up, many of our students and leaders head out together for food—a fun way to continue conversations, build friendships, and simply enjoy spending time together. We also regularly gather outside of Sunday nights for volleyball, board games, sporting events, camps, retreats, and other activities that help students build lasting community. Whether you've been following Jesus for years or you're just beginning to explore what faith is all about, Heritage Youth is a place where you belong. We would love for you and your family to join us as we pursue Christ together.
